To apply file rules to exceptions

For each exception you have listed, you must select whether to treat all files in the same way, or apply individual file rules to different file types.

To treat all files from the exception in the same way

1. On the RM Auditor Administration page, next to Web Traffic Monitor Configuration, click the Edit button.

2. In the Web Monitor Configuration window, select the Web Site Exceptions tab.

3. Select the exception from the list, and then select Treat all files in the same way.

4. From the drop-down menu select whether to Log all, Ignore all, or Ignore files smaller than.

5. If you select Ignore files smaller than, type a value into the box.

6. Click the OK button.

To apply individual file rules to different file types

1. On the RM Auditor Administration page, next to Web Traffic Monitor Configuration, click the Edit button.

2. In the Web Monitor Configuration window, select the Web Site Exceptions tab.

3. Select the exception from the list, and then select Apply individual rules to different file types.

4. For each file type, from the drop-down menu select whether to Log all, Ignore all, or Ignore files smaller than.

5. If you select Ignore files smaller than, type a value into the box.

6. Click the OK button.

Note

• You must select Treat all files in the same way, or Apply individual file rules to different file types for each exception. It is not possible to apply a file rule to more than one exception at a time.
